The third edition is likely the first and only college textbook with a glow in the dark cover. Very, very kind VIPs begin to donate artwork, namely UK icon Ralph Steadman (illustrator Hunter S. Thompson, Critical Critters, etc.) and Seth MacFarlane (the progression of “Family Guy” characters, Peter and Brian).
Background on the shows and scores of comics, see Index of Comedians. Also came with two “The Oblongs” postcards, one of which was to be mailed to Adult Swim by the book owner (Adult Swim did a great TV bump on all the postcards they were receiving).
